GENERAL:
· Kitchens are getting bigger
· Transitional, mid-century modern & modern styles will continue to dominate, while industrial, Scandinavian, & glam styles are expected to increase in popularity
· Trend is towards less of one overall style, while mixing elements of a few styles to create a custom look
· Neutral colors in various hues & shades of white, ranging from bright contemporary white to traditional buttercream
· Dramatic accents of color & painted island cabinets in strong primary colors such as navy & French blue, black, green, orange, coral, sun yellow, mustard, pinks, & orchid
· “Statement ceilings” with shiplap, metal, patterned ceilings & wood beams

WALLS & FLOORS:
· Large format tiles in marble & porcelain in a wood, concrete, & striated stone look
· Strong geometric looks such as encaustic tile patterns
· Tile in botanical leafy patterns, hexagonal tile, white, pink, lilac, & orchid colors
· Tiles with freeform edges or 2 tile styles melting into each other

ISLANDS & COUNTERTOPS:
· Quartz continues to dominate, with a matte finish being most popular in solid neutral colors (white, taupe, gray, & matte graphite)

· Concrete, quartzite, & highly textured & exotic granites
· Waterfall edge counters with thick, mitered edges
· Sintered thin surface counters
· Mix & match surfaces
