The existing house was built in 1950, with a second story addition being built in 2002. The homeowners had 2 desires for this project; increase the curb appeal of the house from the street & to create a covered porch on the rear of the house for entertaining, as the existing deck didn’t meet their needs. The result is this Riverside CT remodel.
To solve the curb appeal problem we designed a covered porch, created a canopy above the garage doors, installed carriage style garage doors & painted all siding & trim. The solution for the rear of the house was much more ambitious; we built a 2 story covered porch with access from both the first floor & basement. On the upper level is a covered porch with a fireplace, seating area, dining area & an open deck. On the lower level is a grill, a dining area & another seating area.
