Brad DeMotte helped us make the right decision when we were planning an addition to our house. We almost listened to a contractor who suggested we not bear the expense of an architect when they’ve done many additions without one (which is only possible in Ct. due to a loophole). This didn’t make sense to us as we felt we may be jeopardizing the money being spent on construction without having the involvement of an architect.
Fortunately, we called Brad who reviewed our situation and quickly made very sensible recommendations. We now have an incredible addition that blends so well with the design of our house that no one knows an addition was built. Brad made the best use of the interior spaces while maintaining the openness we desired. His plans were easily accepted by the Town planning and building departments meeting all local requirements. The construction drawings were an important and necessary guide for our excellent contractor to follow, as they were very detailed & thorough.
We definitely believe that involving Brad in this project was money well spent & greatly enhanced the value of our house, & we would highly recommend him!
